Counseling for Children

Counseling for Children in Jacksonville Beach

As a parent, you want your child to feel safe, confident, and supported. When worry, big feelings, behavior changes, school stress, or hard family seasons show up, it can be tough to know what will help. Children often cannot put those experiences into words the way adults can. Our office in Neptune Beach serves families across Jacksonville Beach and the Beaches.

Our child clinicians walk alongside your family with practical, age-appropriate counseling so your child can build coping skills and you can see progress at home and school.

Faith-informed care is available if you want it. We are currently accepting new child clients.

Play-Based Counseling

Children may not always have the words to explain what is happening. Counseling that uses play, creative activities, movement, and conversation meets them where they are. These methods help kids express big feelings, practice coping skills, and feel more understood — tailored to your child’s age, needs, and goals.

What We Help Children With:

  • Anxiety and worry
  • Big emotions and meltdowns
  • ADHD-related struggles (attention, impulsivity, routines)
  • School stress and peer issues
  • Family changes, grief, or difficult experiences

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I be involved as a parent?

Yes. We want you on the team. Depending on your child’s age and needs, that can mean check-ins, parent sessions, or family work so skills carry into home and school. When the whole household needs support, we also offer family counseling.

Do you only see teens, or younger kids too?

We work with children and teens of all ages, with support tailored to each child’s needs and developmental stage.

Is this “play therapy”?

Play therapy may be one of the tools we use with younger children, along with age-appropriate counseling and family support.

How do we get started?

Contact us to schedule a consultation. We’ll listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and help match your child with the right clinician.

Do you take insurance?

We see clients on an out-of-network basis and provide a Superbill you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
