The Team
Shannon Maura
Shannon Maura, B.S., Counseling Intern, is a dedicated Counseling Intern at Living Well Therapy and Coaching, bringing compassion, faith, and evidence-based skills to support clients on their journey toward healing and growth.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Stetson University and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. Her unique path from the world of finance to counseling reflects a deep calling to help others discover freedom and live into their full potential.
Shannon is passionate about walking alongside young women and men—especially teenagers—who are navigating identity struggles rooted in past trauma, anxiety, depression, or crisis moments. She focuses on helping clients process emotional wounds, break free from limiting patterns, and step into the abundant life they were created for. Drawing from the belief that every person is made in God’s image with divine purpose, she finds deep alignment with practices that honor both clinical excellence and spiritual wholeness.
In her work, she integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)approaches to help clients understand and regulate emotions, reframe unhelpful thoughts, and build resilience. Whether supporting someone in acute crisis or working through deeper trauma, her goal is to create a safe, empathetic space where true freedom and lasting change can begin. When she’s not in session or studying, Shannon enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and spending quality time with family. These activities help her stay grounded and renewed so she can show up fully for her clients.
Shannon is currently accepting new clients under the supervision of Dave Tolbert, LMHC. If you or a loved one is ready to begin the journey toward healing and hope, we invite you to reach out and schedule a consultation.
