Nick Lee, Counseling Intern

I never thought I’d end up as a counselor. What pushed me here wasn’t some neat, linear path it was seeing firsthand how messy life can get, and how much pain we carry from the things we’d rather bury. I know what it feels like when the weight of old wounds shows up in the present, or when the voice in your head tells you you’re not enough. That’s what made me want to sit with people in their hardest moments and help them find a way forward.

I work with individuals who are carrying trauma, navigating grief, or wrestling with questions about who they are and where they belong. Some people come in because the past won’t let go; others because they want to live differently but don’t know how. My goal isn’t to “fix” anyone I don’t think people are problems to solve. My goal is to listen, ask questions that matter, and walk with you while you make sense of your story.

I also work with couples who are sorting through fractured trust, painful conflict, or the desire to feel close again. Relationships can be both our greatest source of joy and our deepest source of pain, and I believe healing in that space is worth fighting for.

As an intern, I bring the curiosity of someone who doesn’t assume they already know all the answers. I’m learning, but I’m also deeply invested in you not just in techniques or theories. And if faith is an important part of your story, I’m glad to bring that into the room, too.

At the end of the day, I believe change happens when someone feels truly seen. That’s the kind of space I try to create one where you can be honest, wrestle with what’s real, and begin to hope again.
